Made by God

Psalm 118:24 KJVS
[24] This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I woke up this morning before the alarm even went off. I knew that it was God wanting to talk to me. But me, being the stubborn and forever exhausted due to life person that I am, only want to lay in bed with the covers over my head.

When you wear many hats, it is tough to give up the one thing you think you have control over – sleep. A losing battle. Lol

So, realizing that I am just an ‘inferior in the presence of a superior’, I decided to relinquish all control and listen to the Master. Apparently, there is something important that he would like to share with me.

This morning it is Psalms 118:24. For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been in a slump lately. Dragging from day to day my emotional baggage, both new and old.

Oh and believe me it is a bag of regrets, reminders, revisions, relives, repeats, and Just’s rarrrrrssss! Whatever that is. But I’ve had a hard time re-adjusting to change.

A lot has happened over the years, deaths and loss, relationships have changed, mindset changes in both my professional and personal life. But God wanted to show me something, to remind me of something—-

Psalm 118:24 KJVS
[24] This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Each day is a day made by God… I could stop there in the sense that we all know about things “made by God”. He is creator of ALL things. And the quality of his work is unimaginable.

Let’s just talk about that today. –

Made by God! The word make in this verse is defined as to do or produce in the broadest and widest sense. To me this describes the ‘physical’ nature of God. You know what I mean. God is so broad and wide in every aspect of who He is. God understood the assignment with creation. He went over the top.

So pick a few things … the sun, the moon, night and day, the waters, the animals, the plants, US! The amount of work that went into all of creation.

Start here and just continue reading…

Genesis 1:1 KJVS
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Not only that, God took pride in His creations.

Genesis 1:31 KJVS
[31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Today, I will step back and be reminded of the creator and his creations. None of this is of my doing and neither is it in my control. I will surrender to the will of God so that my worship will be heartfelt. It will make my rejoice easier and uncontrolled. Thank you Lord for reminding me of who you are as Creator and that you have total control.
