“According to His Mercy…”

Titus 3:5-7 KJVS
[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Oh, my goodness! This is a shouting verse today. One that should make you holler with gratitude in your voice. As my mother would say, get ugly when you sing type of verse.
God is to good to us. He is too kind to us. I’ve evaluated the last few days with the bad weather and all of the luxuries that were taken from us because we did not have the freedom to do as we pleased. We must not lose sight, folks. We have something to be thankful for.
We have been made heirs not because of anything great that we have done but because of HIS grace.
The writer of Titus clearly explains that it was nothing that we did, are doing, or could ever do to gain salvation but that it is according to HIS mercy. Mercy that we do not deserve. This is the same mercy that he renews each day – scripture says that he gives us NEW mercies each day.
Lamentations 3:22-23. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:23
In verse 6, we must understand that all of this is possible through Jesus Christ our Savior. The one that through purpose was to come and give his life. The only begotten Son that is the propitiation for our sins according to I John.
I don’t know about you but I have to stop there out of excitement – We will continue…
But take time to thank God! Thank you Lord that you thought enough of us to give mercy and save us through your only begotten son , Jesus Christ our Savior. Thank you for the washing, renewing, and regeneration through your Spirit. I glorify and magnify your name for considering me an heir to your Holy Kingdom.
