So I’ve been on a Psalms 23 kick lately! Blame it on the Spirit for some reason God has taken me there for refreshment. I’ve gone through a lot in my life as have each of you. Somethings that I care not to experience again, some regrets, even some things that I wish I could go back and change. But over all lately I’ve felt a little overwhelmed by my past experiences – like I couldn’t breath at times.

Not sure why this is what I felt. Questioning, am I having a heart attack, is it anxiety, am I dying – just all kinds of crazy things floating through my mind. I prayed and meditated and in that moment the Holy Spirit reminded me of The Shepherd and all the benefits that I gain in being a sheep. Psalms 23 has comforted me in so many ways.

When I woke this morning- Psalms 23:3a was in my Spirit and I could not shake it. It was heavy on my heart. So I prayed asking God what is it that you are trying to show me or tell me.

It was as clear as day – “Breathe in”-take a moment to catch my second wind. No more feelings of being overwhelmed, out of control mentally, emotionally erratic at times… NO MORE.

This section of the scripture we have to remember that The Shepherd allowed the sheep to lie down in green pastures, he has lead the sheep beside the still waters and now He restores the soul of the sheep. In other words, He allows the sheep time to catch their second wind, just before he leads them in the paths of righteousness. Read it – I am not making this up!

So as you sit today to meditate and pray and even through out the day take a moment for The Shepherd to allow you to catch you second wind.

Have a blessed day!
