Lean Not to Your Own Understanding

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJVS
[5] Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Focus Point for the Month:

Applying complete Confidence in God in ALL areas of my life

Trusting in the Lord deals with having complete dependence on Him and in his abilities. We do not give God an opportunity to show the full potential of His power. I know what you’re thinking …is letting God? Believe it or not often time we apply our methodology to our own situation without even thinking about allowing God to lead us in the right direction. In a sense, we become God or so we think.

We trust a lot of things like our partners, our friends, even the chair you are sitting in or the car you drive. Even these things are not completely dependable.

Our power is limited. Our abilities are limited. God’s power and abilities are LIMITLESS. Why not lean and depend on the source that will not fail?

Take time this mont to focus on the fact that God will not fail you. Put total trust in him.
