“Hope to the End”

I Peter 1:13 – “Wherefore gird up the loins of the mind; be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

I hope that over the past few days you have been challenged with making preparation a priority in your spiritual life.  In this day and age, we must remember to gird up the loins of our brains with the Word of God and not allow distractions to take your focus away from the path that God has you on.

This particular part of the verse can be translated as saying, “hope fully”.  For us this means that we should be a hope-filled individual.  Be filled with the hope in God.  The hope within you should sprout from the hope that you have in God.

In this day and time, we must rest our hope fully on the grace of God.  The hope that we have must be unwavering and must endure til the end.  We cannot allow the cares of this world and of our daily lives to take a way from the hope that we have in the salvation of Jesus Christ.

This week center your focus on that which is your hope is rested upon.  Romans 8:25 says, that “if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”

Lord, allow us to have hope in you and in the salvation of Jesus Christ.  Lord help us to be a hope filled person.  In Jesus name, AMEN.
