Psalm 19:14 (KJV)
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Oh my, I did not know that this scripture was next! I struggle with this daily sometimes hourly. lol Let’s just be real about it. I am not perfect, oh and guess what neither are you.
So let’s talk about this…
Are my words acceptable in the sight of God? The scripture suggests that God can see the words as they come out of my mouth and at the same time the meditation that harvests within my heart. As we learned on Challenge Five that words do not originate in the orifice of the mouth but begin as seeds in the heart waiting to be harvested by the mouth.
What kind of words are you planting as seeds into your heart? Are they seeds of doubt? Are they seeds of negativity? Are they words of disgust? Are they words of destruction?
I have struggled with this and in the past have asked myself how do I plant seeds of purpose, power, and praise. One source that I can think of is through the Word of God.
How many of us are watching talk shows, reading magazines, and scrolling the internet for everyone else’s thoughts on how to deal with life’s situations but why not the Word of God.
The words of God have power!
It’s not just what I take in from others but it is also what I take in from myself. How often do we stand in front of the mirror and speak words of disgust and dissatisfaction? Speak positively and life.
I am going to think about that today as I embark the world–what am I planting into my heart. Remember seeds grow. You plant roses you will harvest roses. You plant weeds you will harvest weeds.
MIND OVER MATTER
Repeat this scripture to yourself and meditate on it.
Philippians 4:13(KJV)
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Power!
