Challenge Two: Admire God’s Creation

Genesis 1:31 KJV

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

God took the time to create each beast of the field, fowl of the air, and fish of the sea.  He focused on the detail of each part; of each design.  He took into account that each fish needed a certain number of fins and gills to swim under water and that each bird would need feathers and wings to fly.  It is amazing that God pays close attention to the details of each part of the creation.  Let’s begin by performing our own personal assessment.  Have you taken time to focus on the detail of God’s greatest creation, YOU?

Stand in the mirror for 6 minutes and admire the ultimate creation.  Start at the top of your head and work your way down looking at each are of the creation–your eyes, nose, ears, eyebrows, etc.   Now write down 10 things that you noticed.  Review your lists, how many items were good things about this creation.  Okay, let’s make it easier.  Using the acronyms for “GOOD” and “BAD” below to discover 4 physical descriptions about yourself.

G:  ____________________          B:  _____________________

O:  ____________________          A:  _____________________

O:  ____________________          D:  _____________________

D:  ____________________

Did you notice that the GOOD outnumbers the BAD!  Remember that everything God created is good.  It is us that make it bad or attribute it to being bad.

God created he world and all that is in it in 6 days and on the 7th day He rested.  God sat back to admire the creation that he took the time to create.  He paid attention to every detail in creating you; your hair, every mole, and every wrinkle was specially made by God.  Do not insult the Creator by complaining about the areas that you are not satisfied with.  Good took his time in perfecting the creation that you see in the mirror everyday.

MIND OVER MATTER

Reflect on your answers above.  Focus on the GOOD that God has created.  Re-read Genesis 1:31 and now change the BAD to the GOOD that God sees in His creation.

Genesis 1:27 -This scripture also reminds us that we were created in God’s image.  I should resemble Him–my spirit, my emotions, and my physical being.  Reflect!

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
